Medical Supplies
Although the Fijian culture is a relaxed one,  the importance of good medical attention is not lost on the people there.  Modern, well equipped hospitals can be found on the main islands but the outer islands present a unique challenge.  Doctors here do not work for recognition or monetary rewards, but rather for the love of the people.  Transportation is at times difficult and supplies are limited.  In some cases they work in the most rudimentary of facilities.

Local hospital staff at modern facility.  Well trained but poorly supplied, these folks do what they can.
Jerry Bounds posses with staff and volunteer doctors. The volunteer doctors come from such distant locations as Nigeria and Thailand.
Medical supplies are delivered by whatever means are available.  The entire village will turn out to help unload the boat.
Volunteer Doctors meet with local staff to inventory supplies.  The village medical personnel value highly things we take for granted.
Volunteer Doctors inspect supplies donated to an island clinic.
Education is important too.  Here a volunteer teaches children the importance of good dental hygiene.
